   ロシア出身のレズビアン風の美少女カップル、タトゥー。まだ十代のふたりが歌うことになったのはたまたまだろうか？ どうもポップミュージックとしての将来性を買ってというよりマーケティング戦略の成果のように思える。そんなふたりの英語デビューにクエスチョン・マークがつくのも無理もない。タトゥーの才能がいつ発揮され、どこまで続くかは未知数だし、仕掛け人たちやプロデューサーのトレヴァー・ホーンが本作にどのくらいかかわっているかは知るよしもないが、おそらくターゲット層となる人々はそんなことに関心はないだろう。
   エレクトロポップ界の伊達男ペット・ショップ・ボーイズやフランキー・ゴーズ・トゥ・ハリウッドを手がけたホーンによるバックサウンドは明快でわかりやすく、疾走するシンセサイザーをクッションに、レーナ・カティーナとユーリャ・ヴォルコヴァの軽快なボーカルを乗せている。ウィンクで人を誘うような歌詞は、女の子が女の子を好きになることをはっきりと歌っているが、ふたりは元気一杯というよりはにかんでいる。はつらつとしたコーラスが飛び交う「All the Things She Said」は性の平等を主張しているようだ。また、通常ヴァージョンとロングヴァージョンが収録された「Show Me Love」はクラブ受けを狙った重厚なダンスフロア・ナンバーである。
   けれども、本作で最高のナンバーと言えば、ザ・スミスの「How Soon Is Now」の思いがけない皮肉なカヴァーだ。孤独と絶望を歌ったナンバーを陽気なデュエットに完全に作り変えたこのカヴァーは、どう考えても本作で最も画期的なナンバーと言えるかもしれない。（Kim Hughes, Amazon.com）

　収録曲のうち、2曲がロシア語で8曲が英語、4曲がバージョン違いです。また、２人のキスで有名なAll The Things She Saidのビデオと、インタビューのビデオが収録されています。どちらもMPGファイルです。このうち、インタビューのビデオは始めてみました。初公開かもしれない。画質はよい方です。

　英語版とロシア語版のどちらが良いかは好みによるでしょうが、甘ったるい彼女達の声にはロシア語がぴったりだと思います。聞き比べると面白いですよ。

今となっては誰ももう覚えていないＴＡＴＵ。最近の沢尻騒動でチラッっと名前が出てきたこともあったが。売れまくった洋楽アルバムの宿命として今や中古ＣＤ屋の１００円コーナーの常連ですが（定価４０００円のＤＶＤ付き二枚組でも１００円ですからね・・）、サウンドはトレバーホーンも関与していることもあり、非常に聴き応えがある。現在敢えてＴＡＴＵを聴いてみようと思う奇特な人がどれだけいるか不明だが、１００円なら迷わず買えばいい。絶対その値段以上の満足は味わえるはず。保障します。

ってかさぁ、どうして後から特典付けて再発売するわけ？
洋楽アルバムって、こういう売り方ばっかしてるよね。
既にCD持ってる人はどうなるの？
まさか、DVDの為だけに払えってのか？
それはちょっと高すぎだろ。

ただ、持っていない人にとっては激お薦め！
絶対買って損はしない。
少々値が張りますけど。
