このゲームに興味をもったならば、カプコンのHPへ行き。
そこでこのゲームの体験版をダウンロードできるので、
チュートリアルをやってみましょう。
ゲーム自体は１時間半程度で終ってしまうのですが。

十分魅力が伝わってきます。

そこで、ある程度のシステムを理解して興味を持ったなら
是非買ってみるとよいでしょう。

ゲームの魅力としては、

交易によって資金を貯めてお金持ちになる
船団を組んで、私掠(海賊を捕らえる)許可を貰い海賊と戦う
逆に海賊として名を馳せる
一攫千金を狙い、クエストなどを受けてみる。
町に家や農場を立てて、有名になる
この中から自由にやりたい事を選んでできるというのが、大きな魅力でしょう。

海図も自分で回らなければ、港を発見できないので。

発見する歓びも味わえます。
ただ、船の移動は普通だと少し遅いので早送りを使ってしまいますが。
とくに問題はないと思います。
それほど難しい操作はなく、コツをつかめばつかむほど奥が深いのが
こういったSLGの魅力でしょうね。

船の標準移動がもう少しスムーズだったら、☆５個でしたけどね。

大航海時代を背景としたＳＬＧが好みの方はおすすめ。
交易バランスがよく、むやみやたらに同じ商品を扱っていては
稼げない仕組みになっている。

また、自分で交易品を生産でき、自身が大きくなっていく実感が
味わえる。

シミュレーションゲームにありがちな単調な作業の繰り返しの中に
奥深さがあるように思えます。
船団の操作をオートにすることもできる自動交易路も良い。
かなり細かく設定できて、効率の良い取引ルートを考えるのが
とても面白い。
交易専門の船団や、海戦専門の船団などをいくつも編成して
カリブ海を牛耳ってやる。
