モトリー・クルーは名曲は多いのだがアルバムを通して聞くと凡曲も多く、その点このセカンドアルバムでは名曲が多く入っていてやはり世界中のロックアーティスト達が多大な影響を受けたのも当然な出来映えである。
Shout At The Devil,Looks That Kill,Red Hot,Too Young To Fall In Loveと有名なギターリフが揃っているしHelter Skelterのアレンジもかっこよろしい。他の曲も捨て曲は無く長く楽しめるアルバムである。この時のようなメタルサウンドをまたモトリーにやって貰いたいものですなぁ。 ('ω｀)

LAメタルの象徴、RATTともお友達だったワルそうな面々のセカンドアルバムです。
この後、フラッシー、きらびやかなハード路線が席巻していく中、敢えての古めの音質で仕上がった本作はかなり硬質、くだらないジャンル分けをするつもりもないのですが、これは本当にヘヴィな仕上がりになっています！
他の方のレヴューにもあるとおり、回し始めた瞬間から怪しい雰囲気で包まれます。本作の「予感」「前兆」というところでしょうか。
もともと１音下げるチューニング、とにかくヘヴィさに徹した仕上がり。ファーストにも“LIVE WIRE”という名曲がありますが、きらびやかな次作“THEATER OF PAIN”以前の初期モトリーの代表作満載です。#2、雰囲気あります！これまたマイナーながらノリノリな#3（いい曲！）、BEATLESのカヴァーで話題を呼んだ#6、トミー・リーのセンス溢れるこんな使い方のツーバスは衝撃的だった#7、MTVでもヘヴィローテ、シングルカットされた切ない#8、オリジナル盤のラスト、これで終わるのかという趣の#11。収録時間は決して長くありませんが、軸の通ったブレない仕上がりなので、一気に聴けますし充実感はあるはずです。
近時の評価が何となく思わしくないような気がしますが、確実に歴史に名を刻む代表作！
LAメタルについては、その後のロックの流れをある意味で聴き手において変えたエヴェントだったと思うのですが、確実に一石を投じた功績はあるはずです。能天気ばかりが彼らの代名詞ではない！気合は入っていると思いますし、まとまりがあった頃の勢いはロックファンとしては感じるべきだと思います。
昔のものを追っているオンタイムで体験していない方も、当時を懐かしんでボートラ目当ての方も、是非一聴はいただきたい！ダーク、クールな面も堪能できるはずですので、入手しやすくなった現在、是非多くの方に触手を伸ばしていただきたい、切にそう思います。時代の証人的な作品！
