   余命一年と宣告された高校の生物教師が、死の恐怖と直面し向き合う中で、生きることの真の意味を見出していく静かなる感動編。ここに描かれる理想的な死出の旅は、あまりにも過酷でせつない。しかし、そんな過酷と反比例するかのように、ドラマは歩みを進めるほどに静かな幸福感で満たされていく。何気ない台詞ひとつひとつから誠実がにじむ脚本と、抑制の効いた演出のトーンとが、絶妙のバランスでこのドラマの真実味を形作っている。
   死を目前にして、何かしらの自分を懸命に刻印しようとする成り行きは、黒澤の『生きる』にイコールだが、日常を丁寧につむいだ演出は小津調だったりするねじじれぶりが面白い。聖職者のような神々しさを放つ草剛と、凛とした健気さで主人公を励ます矢田亜希子の静かなる熱演が胸を打つ。台詞に力があり、見せ方にうまみがあり、ドラマのあり方に誠実がある。素晴らしいドラマだ。（麻生結一）

　人は、日々より高い目標に向かって成長すべく、生かされています。その成長の最高到達点には、死が待っています。この宿命は、人として誰しも共通して、この世に生まれてきた以上いや応なく背負っているものです。このドラマのテーマである『人はいかに生きるべきか』は、反面『人はいかに死すべきか』が如実に表現されていて、脚本家そして製作者の意図がまるで手に取るように現れている、今年のテレビドラマのうちで最も優れた作品です。剛君の頬のこけた迫真の演技と、亜希子さんの彼を献身的に励まし支えていく姿は、感動的で、涙が止まりませんでした。発売日の６月２７日まであと２日となりましたが、あの感動を一秒でも早く再現してほしい。制作に関わったすべての皆さん、感動をありがとう！。これからの人生で躓くこともありますが、このドラマに立ち戻って生きる勇気を取り戻し、再び目標に向かって生きたい！

　ついに、ＤＶＤを購入。観るたびに、自然に涙がこぼれてしまい、止めることができない。今年のテレビドラマのうちで最も優れた作品。剛君の痩せこけた頬・抑揚のない台詞、亜希子さんの彼を支える献身的な愛、とくに、テレビで放送された第７話と最終話は、感動以外表現しようがない、正に最高！　人生で躓くことに出遭ったら、このドラマに立ち戻って、もう一度生きる勇気を取り戻したい！

今回の作品を見て私は死ぬという事や生きるということを少し知った気がします。
今までの剛君のドラマにない空気のドラマです。本当に悲しいドラマです。また、人が余命を知らされた時の状態をドラマチックではなくリアルに描いた人間味が出ている作品だと思います。
あとは、ドラマにあわせて体重を減量した剛君の役者魂も見ることができます。
