   レディオヘッドは圧倒的に自由だ。作品を完成させるごとにロックの可能性を広げてきた彼らだ。当然、今回も世界中が彼らに心地いい裏切りを期待しているはず。しかし、彼らはそんなプレッシャーをものともせず、表現欲求のおもむくままに、この6thアルバムを作り上げた。前2作を踏まえたうえで、つまりオーガニックなサウンドを一度否定したうえで、再びオーガニックなサウンドにアプローチしている。当然、そのアプローチの方法は前2作以前と今回では全然異なるものであることは言うまでもない。個人的にはメロディーにもうちょっと突き抜けるような解放感があってもいいと思うんだけれど、この憐憫（れんびん）にそぼ濡れたメロディーは、やはりレディオヘッドらしいんだろう。前2作が好きというリスナーも、それ以前の彼らが好きというリスナーもどちらも満足させられるはず。（山口智男）

印象としてはAMNESIACに近いけど、より躍動感を増してロックバンドとしての魅力が戻ってきた作品という気がします。前２作よりハードな味付けの曲が多いけど、そんな中にも何というか優しさ、懐の深さみたいな物を強く感じました。それと引き換えにOK COMPUTERの頃の研ぎ澄まされた刃物のような鋭さは薄れてしまいましたが、繰り返し聴くとこのアルバムにしかない良さが見えてくるのではないかと思います。僕の場合、ハードな曲も勿論好きだけどScatterbrainの美しさに感動しました。とかく過去の名作と比較される、ある意味不幸（？）な作品かもしれないけど、少しでもRadioheadが好きなら十分聴く価値のある力作だと思います。

でも一番不幸なのは国内版がCCCDで販売されていることだな・・・（ありがとうUS版！）

2003年発売第6作。
現在活躍中のバンドで唯一好きなバンドがこのRadioheadだけというプログレ世代は多いのでは?『2+2=5』 -『The Lukewarm』とか『Go To Sleep』 -『Little Man Being Erased』あたりのジョニー・グリーンウッドのギターの鳴り方はファンを裏切っていません。ただ、前3作より深さが欠ける感じがするのは僕だけか?

トム・ヨークのボーカルは相変わらず光ってます。CCCD!!

オススメですが、コピーコントロール仕様はオススメできません。
最初にコピーコントロールで手に入れた私は、CDもコンポも買いなおすはめになりました。
肝心の音のほうは、KID Aやアムニにがっかりしていた方にもうれしい内容なのではないでしょうか。
昔好きだった人は買いです。
