このレヴューはチャレンジだ。
理解しきれぬモノをそれでも語りだすのは、ただこの愛する作品を人に教えたいためだ。

76年スイス、アイランドの自主制作盤にして唯一作。
全五曲中、三曲が12分を超え、長い曲では16分にもなる。
シンフォニック・ロック扱いだが、例えるべき類似作品が思い浮かばない。
強いて言えば、ある種の現代音楽に近いか。だがバンドサウンドだ。

メンバーは四人、しかし雰囲気としては、偏執狂的・神経症的な職人が一人で廃墟にでも隠れて、
人に知られることなく、ひたすら己が脳内の歪な妄想世界を音楽に表現したという印象だ。

さほど音数が多いわけではない、さほど密度が詰まっているわけでもない。
しかし語り掛けてくるヴィジョンは濃厚で、隙が感じられない。静寂すら脅迫的だ。
時に破綻したような変拍子、逆さ言葉などを用いた実験的で奇怪な歌詞世界、
ギーガーの手による鉱物的生命体の、異界の地獄めいたジャケット・アート。そして、音楽。

すべてが絶望的なほどに同じ方向を指し示す。

非常に良質なプログレだ。

現代音楽のように
アンキャッチャーな
メロディーに
リズム
不思議なヴォーカル

非常に
楽しめる。

感じとしては
ヘンリィー・カウ
キース・ティペット
ハリー・パーチ
…
…
を重厚にし
アンサンブル中心にした感じかな

個人的には
大好きだ。

ただし
ＹＥＳとか
プログレメタルとか
キャッチャーで
大御所系が好きな人には不向きです！！
