全体的に録音は古いです(１９６２〜１９８５)。
しかしDECCAだけあって、演奏は粒ぞろい。音もそれなりに良好です。

ちなみに私はジョン・サザーランドの『庭の千草』一曲が欲しいために購入しました。
というのも、他に探せるだけ(和洋問わず)自分好みの『庭の千草』を探したのですが、どうしても声の質で納得できるものがなかったのです。
感想はというと、個人的にビブラートというものが好きではないので100％満足ではありませんが、自分の欲求をほぼ満たしてくれる絶唱でした。
購入して正解でした。

ただ、多くの人にすすめることを考えて聴くと、全体的に少し物足りない印象があるので、星は３つ。
