ヴォーカルの武田カオリと、ほぼすべての音作りを手がける石井マサユキの2人によるユニットで、3枚目の本作は全曲英語詞のカヴァー・アルバム。ビーチ・ボーイズやリッキー・リー・ジョーンズ、グレイス・ジョーンズ、J.J.ケール、ESG など、選曲の幅広さやセンスの良さもさることながら、そのアプローチがすばらしい。武田はクールかつエレガントなヴォーカルで強烈な存在感を放っているし、石井のサウンド・プロダクションも、極限までしぼったような必要最小限の音作りによって、デリケートでナイーヴな空気感を生んでいる。各曲の解釈も、たとえばニール・ヤングの「Out On The Weekend」を音響エレクトロニカ風に、ヴェルヴェット・アンダーグラウンドの「Pale Blue Eyes」をドゥー・ワップ風にしてしまうなど、どれもきわめて斬新（ざんしん）だ。全編を Tica そのものの世界に染めあげていて、オリジナル・アルバムと同等の作品といえるし、このユニットの独自性も確立した傑作。（小山 守）
