　１９７２年リリースのセカンドアルバムです。当時日本では「アローン・アゲイン＜バック・トゥ・フロント＞」と改題されて発表されました。「アローン・アゲイン」のあまりにも爆発的な大ヒットを、さらに商業ベースに乗せるためには、その方がよいと考えられたためでしょう。３曲目の「クレア」を「アローン・アゲイン」に差し替えてのリリースとなりました。（その後、「クレア」もシングルカットされ、ヒットしましたが...。）
　内容はファースト・アルバムが内向性（暗）を暗示しているのに対し、本作は外向性（明）という様な印象を持ちます。「アローン・アゲイン」自体はその中間であると位置づけると、しっくり来るのかもしれません。
　楽曲的には、一つの完成形を迎えたという感じがします。「クレア」、「ザッツ・ラヴ」、「フー・ワズ・イット」、「アウト・オブ・ザ・クエスチョン」などがその例だと思います。ギルバート・オサリヴァンを語る上では、色々な意味ではずすことの出来ないアルバムです。
