LANA LANEの頭脳として知られるエリク・ノーランダー<Key>3枚目のソロ・アルバム（2枚組）。

本作は現在の音楽業界の愚かさを、“作られたスーパー・スター”ジョニー・アメリカのストーリーによって糾弾するコンセプト・アルバムである。

昨今、中身の伴わない自己満足的なコンセプト・アルバムを乱発しているアーティストが多数存在するが、本作はそのような安物のコンセプト・アルバムとはひと味もふた味も違う。本作はQUEENSRYCHEやDREAM THEATERらが残した名作群と肩を並べる傑作である。

津波のように押し寄せる劇的な展開は、我々を物語の渦に巻き込んでいく。荘厳で劇的でありながら、キャッチーなメロディに充ちた本作には、コンセプト・アルバム特有の難解さ、取っつきにくさは皆無である。BLUE OYSTER CULTのドナルド“Buck Dharma”ローザー<Vo, G>参加のDisc1-8などは特にそうだろう。ブルージーで悲しく、それでいて優しいサウンドは、本作のハイライトである。

“天才”エリク・ノーランダーの真の才能が、今ここに具現化された！

LANA LANEのパートナーでもあるエリク・ノーランダーのソロ作。2003作
作られたスーパー・スター“ジョニー・アメリカ”を主役にした、2枚組の壮大なコンセプト作。
マーク・ボールズ、ケリー・キーリング、ヴァージル・ドナーティ他、多くのゲストが参加した
サウンドは、壮麗かつシンフォニックなシンセとメタリックなギターを融合させた
ProgMetal的な質感で、ストーリーにそった歌詞とともにドラマティックに構築されてゆく。
古き良きプログレの感触を残しつつ、単なる懐古主義にはならないセンスが見事で、
メタリックな作品だった「Into The Sunset」よりも広がりのある楽曲を聴かせてくれる。
