4.0 out of 5 stars 叙情系メロデスといえばはずせない一品, 2004/10/13
実にクール。メロディは重要な要素だが甘くなりすぎてはいない。このスウェディッシュ系（イエテボリ？）王道とも言えるザクザクとしていながらも非常に叙情的なギターにぶんぶん言うベース。こういうの好きな人多いんじゃないでしょうか。９曲目のサビ後のリフなんかは垂唾もの。
ちなみにスピードもそれなりにあるので爽快感も得られます(笑）叙情系メロデス好きな人は、聴かないと損しますよ。

解散してしまった、ゲイツ・オブ・イシュターのヴォーカリスト、ミカエル・サンドルフが中心となって結成されたバンド。
そのサウンドはメロデスの王道そのもの。アークエネミーやインフレイムスが好きな人にはお勧め（あそこまでギターは哀しくないが、ドラマティックな曲展開は同様）

余談だが、ここにはアップされてないが、アルバムジャケットはかなりキテいる事も明記しておく。私はレジの女性にかなり嫌な顔をされた。。。

かの隠れ名バンドGATES　OF　ISHTERのミカエル・サンドロフ（ｇ）が主体となって結成されたスウェーデン産メロディック・デスメタラーの１ｓｔフル。

ドラマーはGATES　OF　ISHTER時代の盟友であり名手オスカー・カールソン。

GATES　OF　ISHTER時代の面影を残した、今時珍しいほどの古きよき北欧メロデス・サウンドを体現しており、さらには名プロデューサー、ダニエル・ベルグストランドの手によって現代的なエッジ＆重厚感を伴った音像で構築されているとなれば、コレが駄作であるワケがない。

初期IN　FLAMESを想起させる叙情ギター・メロディがタイトなリズムにのって勇壮に疾駆する様は、巷にはびこる有象無象のデスラッシャーやメタルコア勢とは異なるカタルシスをもたらしてくれること請け合い。

時にネオクラシカルなメロディを炸裂させるギターソロもかなり美味で、＃６“Farewell　Song”はそんな彼らの魅力全部入りの名曲。

あまり知られていないバンドではあるが、０７年１月末現在、既に３枚のアルバムを発表しており、いずれもが高品質なメロデス作品なので、未聴のリスナーは是非。

DARK　TRANQUILLITYやAT　THE　GATES辺りが好みな向きにも十二分にイケるはず。
