彼らは日本の言葉の綺麗なところがある。そして独特の世界観が空気として風景として目の前に感じれる情景となる楽曲です。人間のメランコリックな部分が剥き出しです。僕と樹は他には作れない最高な名曲だと思います。言葉で聴かせる音楽なのではないでしょうか。これからの期待も含めて点数減らし４点です。

　さかのぼって聞いた。まだこの時点では、決定的な痛みを経験していないらしい音だ。この後彼らは「地図」で、痛々しいような落ち込みを音にする。そして「月と手のひら」で、弱者や敗者への圧倒的な共感を歌い上げる。その上で、明日へといざなう３枚目「LUNKHEAD」である。
　まっさらな時代のランクヘッド。2006年時点で聞いて、よくぞここまでたどり着いたね、と彼らの成長を称えたい。そんな、よくできているけど他と決定的な違いを見分けられない一枚。
　でも、確かにここから彼らは始まった。その確かな足取りを確認する一枚。手にして損はない。

LUNKHEADの初期の作品と言うこともあり、現在（『ひとりごと』まで）と比べれば、
やはり全体的に垢抜けない感じは否めない。

しかし、その中にどうしようもなく輝くものが存在している。

愛媛にいたときの風景や思慕、東京での生活を繊細な鮮やかさで書き上げた詩と、
詩と相乗効果を発揮する、ニヤリとしてしまうような音楽。
和製ロックと言ってしまえばそうかもしれない。バンプに似てるかもしれない。最初の説明ではそれが一番適切かもしれない。しかしそれだけで説明しきれない魅力が含まれている。CD内ですら刻々と変化する、彼らの力強く成長する音は聞くに値すると思う。
