   1982年の放送以来の人気を誇る「超時空要塞マクロス」シリーズ。多数の続編が製作される中、放送20周年を記念してOVAとして発表された作品が本作品にあたる。これまでの作品が、地球対ゼントラーディの戦争以後を描いてきたのに対し、本作は初めてそれ以前の時代を舞台とした、いわばエピソードゼロである。
   1999年、地球上に落下してきた巨大戦闘艦、後のマクロス。そのため地球にとって早すぎるテクノロジーを巡り統合戦争が勃発し、戦闘に駆り出されたパイロットのシンは南海の孤島に不時着する。そこにははるか昔に異星人がもたらした遺産らしきものがあり、そのため統合軍、反統合軍が島に侵攻しようとしていた。
   CGの発達によって大幅に迫力を増したアクションはもちろん、河森正治、板野一郎といったオリジナルスタッフが作品を手がけているのも見どころだ。（田中 元）

冒頭の戦闘シーンは板野サーカス満載です！！
現実離れした動きだけど、これぞマクロスの醍醐味！バルキリーのカッコ
良さが最大限に描かれています！！
中盤、昔からのファンなら思わず「ニヤッ」としてしまうセリフも出てき
ます(^_^)

第2巻ではシンのトラウマの原因も描かれ、文明を気嫌いするサラ(でも少

し気になる素振りを見せたり)、そんなに反感を覚えるマオなど、少しずつ
登場人物の心が描かれ始めてきています。サラの秘密(?)もちょっとだけ
でてきてます。

既に次巻が楽しみな展開です！(次巻は今秋発売予定)

マクロスファンのみならず、全てのアニメファンにもオススメです！

　ロイ・フォッカーのスカル小隊に配属になり、バルキリーの機種転換訓練を受ける主人公シン・工藤の活躍とともに、第一巻では優等生だったロイ・フォッカーの酒好きと女好きが発覚。旧作ファンにはうれしい彼のセリフもある。　アクションシーンも、バルキリー同士の戦闘シーンが豊富にあり、サービス満点である。

　シンの心の闇の部分や島の秘密と歌の関係、プロトデビルンと思われる「遺跡のかけら」、思わせぶりな敵のセリフ、フォッカーの戦いに臨んだ気持ちなど、伏線もたっぷりとあり、今後の展開が大いに楽しみになること間違い無し。旧作ファンにも新しいファンにも「マクロス」ワールドをたっぷりと満喫できる予感をとことん秘めた作品に仕上がっている。

第一巻程の驚きはありませんでしたが、理屈抜きに戦闘シーンがすごすぎます！１巻よりかなりレベルアップした仕上がりになっています。
ボリュームもかなりアップしていて値段にそこそこ見合った出来に仕上がっていると思いました。

次巻が待ち遠しいっす！
