タイムボカンシリーズの中で一番知名度が高い「ヤッターマン」。なぜこれほどまでに人気があったのかというと、やっぱり悪役主悪のドロンボーの活躍でしょ！やることなすこと、ギャグも最高で申し分なし！！特にボヤッキーは超かわいい♪ドロンボーのみなさん、インチキ商売も、ヤッターマンに必ず負けてしまうボディアクションも、せっかく作ったメカの大爆発も、三輪車で逃げながらのお仕置きも、気の毒だけど楽しませてもらった♪本当にあなた達ほどかわいくて、おもしろい大人はいない！ストーリー内容は子供向けだけど、ドロンボーのみなさんのギャグは大人が観ても絶対おもしろい！！

　『ヤッター、ヤッター、ヤッターマーン！』これを、声優さんのように叫べたら合格！（何に？）このあとの、『ドジラー』、『コロン』などと付け加えた人はかなりの上級者です。
　まんねりといわれようと、構わない。おもしろい！『ヤッターマンがいる限り、この世に悪は栄えない。』のだ。

　メカにも注目。ヤッターワンがピンチになると、メカの元を食べて小型メカがわんさか出てきます。ヤッターゴリラの場合は愛のムチで、『愛の目覚めー』。また、ナレーションの『説明しよう』も今で言えば流行語大賞がとれたかもしれないほどの勢いでした。
　『タイムボカンシリーズ』の黄金期であり、今後のシリーズを決定付けた記念碑的作品です。
