『ROENTGEN』までの、静かな曲調とは一転、Co-prpduceにはKAZ（元オブリ、現Spin Aqua）を迎えて作られた激しいロックである。40メロミックスのCMタイアップにもなった、聴く者を限定しない明るい曲調は見事。

『ROENTGEN』は「hydeというアーティスト」という雰囲気だったが、今回は、「ラルクのhydeのソロ」という感じがする。hyde個人のディープな世界から抜け出し、ラルクのhydeへと気持ちを入れ替えているように思える。
ちなみに、この曲で歌われている「大切な人」とは、インタビューによればファンのことだそうだ。ファンには嬉しい限りだろう。
カップリングの「THE OTHER SIDE」は、少し陰鬱な雰囲気。これもまた彼らしい。雰囲気の違う2曲、そのバランス感覚が素晴らしいと思った。

ただ、このシングル、コピーコントロールCDである。PCで再生・録音するにはオンラインでの承認が必要と少々面倒。また、CDプレイヤーの種類によって再生ができないこともある模様。不正コピーへの対策も必要だとは思うが、純粋に音楽を楽しみたい人に負担がかかるこの方法には多少不満が残る。そのため、内容はいいけれども星4つ。

ラルク時代のhydeのヴォーカルは音程高めで、
魅力的な声でいい曲を聞かせてくれました、
今回のはノリがいい、サビ聞いたらぞぞっとくる、
少しかすれかけの低音シャウト風と言う、
伝えきれない表現でまた魅了された。

最初聴いたときの印象は、やけにキャッチーですぐ飽きそうな感じだったが、聴いていくうちにニルバーナを彷彿とさせる攻撃的で艶のあるハイドの声と珍しくファンに対して書いたメッセージ性のある詞に魅了された。

しかし、メッセージ性はあっても、今までのハイドの幻想的で抽象的な詞ではなく、わかりやすくて陳腐な言葉が多いため、魅了されたといっても、今までの曲ほどは曲に入り込めなかった。
なのでポップだけど詞は暗くてドロドロした感じのギャップのある曲も聴いてみたいと思った。
