ＤＶＤになるのを、密かに心待ちにしてました！
あまり有名な作品とは言えないかもしれませんが、大好きな映画です。
余計な飾りや気取りのない、素直であったかい作品だと思います。
単にほのぼのしているだけでなく、ストーリーも派手でないながらも
しっかりしているし、観ていて楽しめるものでした。

お金のかかった大作もいいけれど、時にはこんな素朴な良作を鑑賞
するのもいいんじゃないでしょうか。

アポロ11号月面着陸を中継するという責務を背負った、オーストラリアのアンテナ管理者（？）たちの話です。
いろいろなアクシデントが起こるのを、登場人物たちは、解決し、世紀の中継を成功させるために、奮闘します。

とにかく、トラブルは起こるけど、必要以上に大げさに描かれていないせいか、切羽つまった感はありません。でも、充分　ドキドキはできる映画です。
登場人物たちは、特別エリートでもなく、とっても親近感がわきます。
これから、アポロの月面着陸の映像をみると、今までとは違った「ドキドキ」感が味わえる気がします。

何度でも見たくなる、そんな映画です。

この映画、主役はひつじでもなければ月でもないと思うのでこの邦題には納得がいかないのです。
それはさておき１９６９年７月、アポロ１１号で人類が月面に初めて降り立った瞬間がテレビで中継されたのはあまりにも有名なお話。
しかし、この映像が実はオーストラリアのパークスという田舎町のパラボラアンテナから中継されたのは意外に知られていない。

この映画はその事実に基づいて作られたヒューマン・コメディ。
羊しかいないようなオーストラリアの片田舎にデンとかまえるパラボラアンテナが主役。
ここで働く技術者たちはちょっとずれているけど憎めない。
そして浮き足立ってやっぱりどこか抜けているパークスの町の人々。

彼らの人間模様も織り込み、随所に笑えるシーンを盛り込みな!がら最後にはハラハラさせてほんわか~。
見た後に不思議な爽快感が残ります。
主演のサム・ニールもさることながら助演の俳優さんたちの自然な演技も見ものです。
そして夜空に映えるパラボラアンテナはとても美しいです。
ぜひ大画面で見ていただきたい作品です。
