思い返してみれば、さまぁ~ずのライブ作品との出会いはこの「少年と犬と公園と私」が最初でした。
テレビでのさまぁ~ずにはまりつつあった私は、試しにこの「少年と犬と公園と私」一本だけを注文しました。数日後、私は発売されていたさまぁ~ず（バカルディ）のライブビデオを全て買い集めていました。

大竹さん演じるキャラクターの可笑しさ、三村さんの鋭いツッコミ、この二人の掛け合いはもう最高です。ブレイク前・バカルディ時代のライブビデオですが、このシンプルながら完成度の高い作品には目から鱗でした。業界でもこの二人のライブを好きな人が多いという話を聞いた事がありますが、納得です。

この作品には４つの設定のコントが収録されているのですが、最後の方でハッとするある仕掛けがあります。ネタバレになるので詳しくは書きませんが、とにかく一見の価値有です。何度も何度も繰り返しみていますが、いつ見ても新鮮さを失わないし、最後は決まって少しジーンとしてしまいます。もちろん笑いっぱなしなので、見終わると元気になっています。

私はこの作品をビデオで持っていたのですが、ＤＶＤで買いなおしました。
ＤＶＤで発売されているさまぁ~ずライブには全てビデオには無い特典が付いているのですが、 これには「銀行強盗」というバカルディ時代の貴重な映像が入っています。これもファンなら必見です。
是非見てみてください！！

どの作品にもひとつ、ふたつ、大竹の強烈な皮肉を笑いというオブラートに
包んだネタが収録されていますが、本作に収録されている

[パフォーマンスばかりに重点を置いて肝心の料理はどうでもよくなってるステーキハウス]　

もそのひとつ。笑わせてはいるもののその裏で
「おまえらこんな店に踊らされて喜んでるんじゃないの？本質を見失った店、
それを喜んでるバカが多すぎるんだよ！」という大竹の皮肉が見え隠れします。

良くも悪くもテレビに慣れてきた近年のさまぁ〜ずに比べてバカルディ期は
もっとアングラ調だったり過激、卑猥なワードも出てきたりしますので
家族で楽しく、という作風ではないかも知れませんが
本作あたりから短編のネタがそれぞれシンクロしてくるという彼らの作風が
完成しつつあります。

そして、それらは後年の作品やマイナスターズの歌詞にまでもシンクロ
してくるのです。

そういった意味でもキャリアに於いて重要な作品だと思いますし
他の作品をより深く楽しむ為には是非見てもらいたい作品だと思います。

　楽しく見れました。ちょっと前作や次のものにくらべるとちょっと笑いがざつなきがしました。まぁそれは、ほかの作品が面白いってことでこれがつまらないってわけじゃないですけど。好きだから、厳しく３
