２０世紀社会主義リアリズム作曲家カバレフスキ再興のアルバム。収録曲はピアノ協奏曲（第２番＆第３番）組曲「道化師」コラ・ブルニョン序曲。冒頭のコラ・ブルニョンから勢いのあるノリのいい音楽が展開される。キレのあるリズムと色彩感はプロコフェフを思わせる。特に第２協奏曲はプロコ的明朗性を持ちながらよりストレートな語り口がなんとも魅力。かつては運動会のBGMでおなじみだった「道化師」中の小曲「ギャロップ」も軽快この上ない快演でノンストップ！ピアニストのストートも万全のテクを惜しげも無く披露。シナイスキーの素晴らしい指揮ともども、この作曲家のステイタス自体を押し上げるほどの気持ちい快演盤の登場だ！
