   ハイスピードで走るトラックの積荷を、改造車が疾走しながら盗むという強奪事件が多発。そんな折り、ロスのストリートに君臨するドミニク（ヴィン・ディーゼル）の前に、ある日謎の若者ブライアン（ポール・ウォーカー）が現れ、ストリート・レースの勝負を挑む。結果はドミニクの勝利に終わるが、それを機にブライアンは彼らの仲間に加わることになった。しかし、彼の正体は…。
   ストリート・レースに興じる若者たちの姿を描いたヴァイオレンス・カー・アクション映画。正直ドラマそのものは大したことはなく、また現実に考えれば迷惑極まりない連中しか登場しないのだが、彼らの心意気がびんびんに伝わってくるのと、カー・アクションのダイナミック描写ゆえ、まったく飽きることがない。まさに改造車が馬のように雄叫びをあげながら疾走する現代版西部劇といっても過言ではない快作である。（的田也寸志）

面白い。猛スピードで走る車がめちゃめちゃカッコいい。

特に最初のレースシーンはしびれる。
このカッコよさは普段それほど車に興味がなくても、
子供の頃にラジコンで遊んだりプラモにハマッたりした男性なら
絶対に熱くなれるだろう。

ストーリー、テンポ、アクション、車などどれもすべて良かったです。　　迫力ある映像でスピード感が伝わってくるし、音楽もノリが良い。　　よく街中で見かける排気音だけボコボコいってるような子供っぽい改造車とは、意気込みも情熱も違います。　　車好きな方はもちろん、車好きじゃない方でも充分に楽しめる良い映画です。　　日本車が大活躍していたので、ものすごく嬉しかったです。

車好きの方（特に0-400などが好きな方）は必見です！ある種の麻薬ともいえる「車好きが車にかける情熱と意地」を上手く描いていると思います。また、今はどうか知りませんが、一時期アメリカで流行っていたNOS Systemも登場し、マニアにはたまりません。Taxiなどが好きな方は、是非これも見て欲しいです。ストーリーは単純ですが、私はまんまと騙されました。2500円でDTSサウンドが楽しめますし、お買い得な作品かと個人的に思いました。
