B'zのシングルとしては初めてのバラードナンバー。
通算では７枚目に当たるシングルで９０年発売。

それまでダンサブルなナンバーが多かったB'zがはじめてバラードを
シングルに持ってきた。
当時、刑事ドラマの主題歌にもなってB'zの新しい面を見せた曲。
この曲で彼らはポップなナンバーだけではないと言うことを
自ら証明して見せた。

初期のB'zの中でもバラードの名曲である。

今回、デジタルマスタリングを施し、マキシシングル形態で再発売される。
初回版全１０枚購入者にはもれなく収納ボックスが付いてくるとの事。
当時のデジタルビートの中で少し異色なナンバーだ。

B'zの初めてのバラードシングルがこの「愛しい人よGood Night...」でした。
自分がこの曲を初めて聴いたのは、「Treasure」の時でしたが、始めはあまり好きな曲じゃありませんでしたが、
今では、非常にいい曲だと思っています。
また、2nd Beatには2ndアルバム「OFF THE LOCK」に収録されていた、「GUITAR KIDS RHAPSODY」が別バージョンとして収録されています。こちらの曲も、凄くいいので、是非聴いてみてください。

『愛しい人よ Good Night』B'z
渋いバラードで良いです。渡哲也、舘ひろし主演TVドラマ「代表取締役刑事」（1992) 1stエンディングテーマでした。
同番組オープニングの『孤独のRun Away』(安宅美春/演奏,B'zプロデュース,歌詞無しバージョン)とあわせて
「西部警察」の拡大路線「ゴリラ」の不調で、アクション・バイオレンス・スペクタクルから路線変更(人情ものへ)によるイメージチェンジの一環なのだなあ、と当時思いました。
