ＷＨＩＺＺ以来、６年ぶりの新作。
ここ数年はＭＡＸ、ＳＩＬＶＡ、ＷＳなどのプロデューサーとして活躍し、その成果も出ていただけに、もう歌い手には戻らないのか？
とさえ思ったが、６年のブランクを全く感じさせない作品だと思う。
北海道限定札信販のＣＭソングとなった、１曲目+- (PLUS,MINUS)はクールにパワフルに。

ＣＸジャンクスポーツエンディングテーマ、６曲目STEP FORWARDは明るくポップに。
どの曲も横山輝一らしい、かなりお勧めしたい楽曲ばかり。

5.0 out of 5 stars ミニアルバムだけど、珠玉の6曲！, 2008/7/24
R and Cへ移籍して2003年に発表された6曲入りオリジナルアルバム。
同時発売されたカバーアルバム『ARTIST'S PROOF vol.1〜IMMORTAL COLLECTION』がメジャー流通であるのに比べ、こちらはインディーズでの流通。発売当時から取り扱い店が少なく、発売したこと自体があまり周知されないまま生産中止（おそらく廃盤）になってしまいました。

そんな不遇の（？）作品ではあるものの、内容はかなり充実しています。
抑制を効かせたボーカルに歌い手としての実力を再確認できる「PLUS MINUS」、ボーカルにかけたエフェクトと2コーラス目でのブレイクに鋭さを感じるアップチューン「CRASH OUT」。特に、跳ねたリズムに乗せて歌わせたら彼の右に出る者はいないと強く思わせる「STAY BY MY SIDE」はまさに本領発揮といったところ。

廃盤状態が続いている為にマーケットプレイス価格やオークションでの落札価格が跳ね上がることもあるようですが、埋もれたままにするにはあまりにも惜しい1枚です。
