「Rivellon」という世界を舞台にしたシングルプレイ専用のアクションRPG。プレイヤーは「Warrior」「Wizard」「Survivor」の3職種、6種類から主人公を選択し、「印ある者」として96種類のスキルを習得しながら闇に犯されそうになっている世界を救う。4つのエリアから構成された合計20000スクリーンのフィールドマップ、100種類を超えるモンスター、150人を超えるNPC(Non Playable Character)を用意し、登場するキャラクターは各々「グループAI」「リアクティブAI」により、プレイヤーのとった振る舞いに対応した行動をとっていく。ほか、クエストログ、NPCとの会話、倒したモンスターの情報などがリアルタイムに反映浚える「オートダイヤリー」機能を搭載。

RPGといえばオンラインな今日この頃。
そして、シングルプレイ”も”可能なゲームというのは
結局シングルプレイは面白くないのがほとんどである。
そんななかで貴重なシングルプレイ専用のRPG。
広大な世界を舞台に膨大な数のクエストに挑むことができる。
クエストの解決方法も複数あったりして、いろいろ考えるのが楽しい。
システムもしっかりしている。

スキルの割り振りでキャラクターは様々な成長をさせることができ、
何度も楽しむことができるだろう。
ストーリーもシステムも自由度が高いところが、いかにも海外の良いゲームらしいところ。

いささかバグが多いので、オフィシャルサイトからパッチを当てるのを忘れずに。

期待半分、不安半分で購入しましたが予想を上回るおもしろさでした。長い物語ですが芯が通っており、ちょうど良い自由度がありました。特に気に入ったのがアイテムの豊富さ。やりこむタイプにはたまらない作品になっていると思います。解説書通り、プレイ時間は軽く100時間を超えました。初期版には欠陥っぽい箇所がやや目についたのが残念でした。ただ、修正パッチが順に出されているので問題ないかと思います。

ゲームを始めた瞬間、クソゲーを思わせるグラフィックで買ったのを後悔しましたが、やってみると面白いじゃないか！！
クエストが豊富で自由度が高く、探索する楽しさを満喫出来るかと思います。
バグが多いのとグラフィック面で、星１つマイナス。
