   前作もよくできていたけれど、このアルバムはさらにスケール＆パワー・アップ。アグレッシヴなヴォーカルとクールなラップのからみ、多彩なサンプリングともに巧妙になっている（中には尺八の音色をサンプリングした曲もある。メンバーに日系人がいる）。しかし、リンキン・パークの最大の魅力は小難しとは無縁の、わかりやすさに尽きる。どの曲もサビで、うねるような歌メロが展開。ハリウッドのスペクタクル映画を思わせるカタルシスを味わえる。それこそ大音量のロックの醍醐味だ。ちなみにタイトルのメテオラとは、岩山の上に修道院が散在するギリシャの地名。（山口智男）

1stアルバム『Hybrid Theory』が全世界で恐るべき大ヒットを収めた『Linkin Park』の2ndアルバム。
このアルバムの聴き所は前作以上にロック調が強いということと、前作以上に聴き易い作品であるということ。
音は前作同様の音で、前作以上に誰でも聴きやすくなっている。
中でも、イントロである(1)Forewordからの流れで突如激しい(2)Don't Stay、シングル曲(3)Somewhere I Belong、
ヒップホップ調の強い(4)Lying From You、チェスターとシノダのヴォーカルが調和して心地よいノリの(7)Faint、
ヒップホップ無しのロックナンバー(9)Breaking The Habit、チェスターのヴォーカルが際立つ(10)From The Inside、
アルバムの最後締めくくるに相応しい(13)Numbあたりに注目。

前作を聴いてハマった人、洋楽に興味がある人は特に聴く価値がある作品です。

前作を聞き込んでLINKINPARKのサウンドに惚れこんだ人たちにとっては
待望の２ndアルバムですね。自分もその中の1人です。CDの収録時間は
４０分足らずなのですが、その短い間に詰め込まれたサウンドが凄い！
リードシングルのSomewhere I Belongもいい曲ですが、個人的にはBreaking The Habitが好きです。歌詞がいい。考えさせられます。

聞けば聞くほど味がでるこのアルバム、ファン以外の方にも
ぜひ聞いてもらいたいです！

このレビューのタイトルを象徴するもの、それは間違いなく"Breaking The Habit"であると思う。
ヒップホップが一切なくてもしっかりと人々の心に残る曲として、現在でも高い人気を誇っている。
これによってLinkin Parkが持つ、「ジャンルの幅」をさらに広げたと思う。
「レベルが落ちた」なんてことは決してない。
常に新しい音楽を生み出すLinkin Parkは、常に進化し、常に新鮮だと思う。
2ndにもその「新鮮さ」が溢れているので、星５つです。
