   『Ego War』が大きな評判を呼んでいる。ダンスミュージック関連の雑誌が2003年の注目株とイチ押しする、ロンドンっ子のオーディオ・ブリーは形容しがたいサウンドのビート、大音量ベース、そしてロンドンなまりのシャウトで注目を集めてきた。デビュー曲の「We Don't Care」はまさに彼らからの手荒い挨拶状。ハウス、ダブ、ヒップホップ、ベースライン・ガレージを強引にミックスした荒っぽい、強力重低音サウンドは、既存の音楽に対する挑戦状だ。どう見ても彼らは本気だ。前評判の高いこのデビュー作は、さらにスカ、パンク、エレクトロニカ・サウンドを取り入れた意欲作。「Real Life」や、ディスコ、パンク、ハウスを絶妙にミックスした「The Snow」といった刺激的なダンス・チューンと、哀愁漂う「Veteran」「100 Million」などの思索的な曲のバランスが良い。スペシャルズとベースメント・ジャックスのジャム・セッションでストリーツのマイク・スキナーがボーカルをとっているようでもあり、『Magnificent Seven』の頃のクラッシュをバックにロブ・バーチが歌っているようでもある。それらをさらにダーティーにした雰囲気だ。

   もちろん今作は完璧というわけではない。フランクスのボーカルがしっくりこない曲もあるし、後半やや単調になるが、2003年最高のダンス・アルバムの1枚であることは間違いない。「下品な」ハウスのニュー・ヒーローの今後に期待。(Matt Anniss, Amazon.co.uk)

最初に聞いたときは、あまり馴染みのないジャンルだったもので戸惑いました。色んなジャンルが混じってるので、これとは言いがたいですが、ハウスと言えば無難な気がします。内容としては、どの曲も奥が深く飽きが来ません。おすすめは全曲です。（本当に私はそう思います）日常の退屈さとシンクロするような曲や少しハイになれる曲、ダンスしたくなる曲など様々なジャンルが揃ってます。
興味ある方は騙されたと思って聞き続けてみてください。そうすれば絶対にこのアルバムの良さがわかると思います。

ポップで聴きやすい、でも音にはこだわりまくり。リズムはハウスと２ステップで、低音の出かたはドラムンベース並み。そこにダルなＭＣがかぶさって、悪いわけがない！アルバムとしてのまとまりも完璧。全く飽きません。アンディ・ウェザオールも大絶賛したそう。
