つげ義春の熱烈なファンです。映画自体が原作に忠実に作ろうとしているのは非常に敬服しますが、随所随所に違うんだよな〜（原作でスパナ持ってるオジサンのシーンだとか→もっとマネキンのように無表情で暗い感じで表現して欲しかった）とかクオリティが低い（汽車のシーンなどつくりものっぽい。あの狭い町の歩道を汽車が無理矢理通過する　夢でしかあり得ない　あの感じを、難しいとは思うが、映像にしてほしかった。）し、俳優も無名な者を使って欲しかった。原作での最後の工場（婦人科）も工場フェチとしては楽しみにしていたのに。。。　不思議な夢をみた日は、その日一日がその夢に支配される感じになることがありますが、そんな映画を期待していました。　難しいですよね。

言わずと知れた、つげ義晴の名作漫画の映画版である。漫画の絵の印象
が強くて、公開当時は主人公が浅野忠信というのはカッコ良過ぎてミス
キャストではないかと思っていた。しかし蓋を明けてみると、この妄想
癖のあるジメジメとした性格の売れない漫画家ツベの役は実にハマって
いた。彼は手塚真監督の「白痴」でもダウナー系の役を見事に演じてい

たが、こちらでもその才能を如何なく発揮している。機関車のシーン
でもわかるように、この映画は完全に低予算のＢ級映画である。バカ映
画にならずに済んだのは、主人公の無意識下にマグマのように流れてい
るプリミティブなエロスが、溶岩のように妄想として吹き出すのを描く
ことに成功したからであろう（一見本編と関係のなさそうな冒頭とラス

トの怪しい映像も、剥き出しのエロスを表現するためには絶対必要）。
石井輝男監督だからこそできたハナレワザ。強烈な印象を残す作品。

つげ義春ファンの私は彼の作品をどう映像化してあるのか、見る前から不安と期待が入り混じった心境でした。けれども忠実に見事に再現!老若男女、問わず一度、見て下さい。不思議な感覚に襲われる映画です。個人的には絶対オススメの映画です。
