テーマからサンバ、ハチロクと瞬時移行してベース、ピアノ・ソロ。その間、神保のスティックが埋め尽くすシーツ・オブ・サウンド!! わずか143秒に圧縮されたトレーンの(1)に込められた三人のエネルギーと至芸。いや、三人というより神保とブロンバーグの、いやいや、この際これは神保彰のためのプロジェクトと言ってしまおう。それくらい神保が前に出ている。力関係ではビリー・シーンとデニ・チェンのナイアシンに似ている。ブロンバーグは浮き足立たずに、ボトムをしっかり押さえ自由に動き回る神保を支える役回り。その意味では本作のイニシャチブを握っているのはブロンバーグのほうかもしれない。かつてコリアがブレッカーがガッドが挑んだ新しいジャズ。ジャズに非ずと否定されながらどっこい名演として残した彼らの精神、スタイルに通じる何かも感じる。形はどうあれ真摯であればいいんじゃないかと。そして何より、プレイを思いっきり腹の底から楽しんでる彼らの余裕と遊び心。これが楽しい。 (渡辺昌美) --- 2003年04月号

　このアルバムで初めてブライアン・ブロンバーグのことを知ったのですが、目茶苦茶上手いのでビックリしました。

コルトレーンの1はベースとドラムが暴れまくり、オープニングで惹きつけられます。ビートルズの2は静かに始まりベースが歌うように弾かれる。この動と静の対比は狙っていたのでしょう、十分効果があります。　ベートーベンの4は高揚感のある曲をジャズっぽく持っていくのもさすがです。
ブロンバーグ作の5も見事なレア・グルーブでカッコいい一曲です。

神保彰とブロンバーグの8は、お互いにソロをまわしていく曲です。
二人のテクニックを堪能できます。
最後の9はジャズっぽく始まり、途中でボサ・ノヴァに変わったり、目まぐるしくリズムが変わります。神保彰作ですのでリズム・アレンジは完璧です。この曲のドラムはすごくかっこいいです。

スウィングして暴れるところは暴れる、大人のジャズ・フュージョン・アルバムです。

ドラムのスピード＆アタック音の迫力に留まらず
音楽性も高く、ボリュームを上げて聴くとサイコーに気持ち良い。
又、倍音でベース音の輪郭が曖昧な物が多い中、
これは聴ける一枚でした。

神保彰とブライアンブロンバーグ、どこでこの２人の接点ができたかは別として、２００３年のＪＡＺＺとしての存在感があまりに強烈。手数の多さを見せながらも基本的なグルーブを醸し出す神保とそれに乗ってメロディーライン、オトマロルイーズにメロディーを任せた時のストイックなライン、多方面に渡る音楽を吸収してなおそれを自分の音として表現できる２人の強烈な個性とテクニックが昇華しながら上り詰めていくそんなインタプレイの快感をひらすらリスナーに与え続けてくれる５０分。レコーヂィングも非常に良く分解度の高いアンプとスピーカーでならすと二人の存在感がまた抜群。２１世紀のフュージョンの型ががここにある。
