偶然、ウェッブの動画ライブで耳にして、頭から離れなくなってしまったので買ってしまいました。失礼ではありますが、崎谷健次郎さんのお名前等、初めて知りました。バラードばかりを集めたので、アルバム全体が似たような感じになってしまっていますが(特にイントロの部分)、1曲1曲は、休日前の夜(つまり、時間に追われていなくてゆったりしているとき)にはぴったりです。特に、1曲目の「もう一度夜を止めて」には完全にはまっています。この曲は1988年の曲らしいですが、今リバイバルで出すと大ヒットするのではないでしょうか。日本の男性ボーカルのバラードを見直しました。

いろいろな洋楽の要素と日本の歌謡曲のエッセンスを織り交ぜた楽曲、
伸びやかで美しく表現力があり、音域の広い男声ボーカルが特徴です。
自身で弾くキーボード（ピアノ）の個性光る名曲ばかりです。
高音が心地よいコーラス多重録音や、リズムライン、オーケストラ楽器の
使い方もすばらしく、聴き所いっぱい。

日本人離れしたセンスと繊細で心に響く音楽を作れるアーティスト。
最高の楽曲ばかり17曲を１枚に集めたCDで、お得な感じがかなりします。
あらゆるジャンルに精通した、卓越した音楽観から生まれた
珠玉のラブソングです。
全ての音楽ファンに通用するスタンダード性と
主にクラシック、ブラックミュージックなどから練られた曲想は、

どんな年齢層にも聴きやすく、受けると思います。
自身の作詞のほか、秋元康・松井五郎等の作詞した世界は
まるでトレンディドラマを見ているような感じ。

私の中で、崎谷健次郎さんは高打率の打者ではありません。イチローではないですね。残念ながら。でもホームランバッターなんです。例えれば新庄選手みたいな存在。時々印象に残るプレーを演じてくれるんですね。

このベスト盤は当然といえば当然ですが、ほぼ全曲ホームラン。そしてちょっと意外だったのは音が良いこと。ケースにはスーパービットマッピングの文字が。デジタルリマスターされていたんですね。割と古い音源もあるので結構効いています（逆に今までのCDの音質は・・・とも思いますが）。

コピーコントロールCDでもなく、音質へのこだわりを感じるアルバムになっています。
