ケーブルの端がＵＳＢ、もう片方の端がＭＩＤＩのＩＮとＯＵＴになってます。これ１つで別にケーブルを買う必要がないのが特徴なのかも。
データの移動がランプの点灯で確認できるというのも売りの１つのようです。

1 IN / 1 OUT だけど、これで間に合うケースは多いので、持っていると便利な1本。
QY70/100 の Data Filer にも使用中。

iMac OSX（10.5.6）にこの変換ケーブルをつなげています。
用途はiLIFE'09 のGarageBandでのピアノレッスン。

GarageBandには無料のピアノレッスン教材が含まれています（無料レッスン教材をダウンロードして追加できたりと本格的なのです。＊ギター教材もあります。）

そこで、レッスンを受けるためには、iMacにMIDIキーボードを接続する必要があるため、このYAMAHAの変換ケーブルを購入。iMacのUSBポートとMIDIキーボードの間をつなげます。

そして、製品のWebサイトより最新ドライバーをダウンロード＆インストール。

次に、Garagebandを起動しレッスンを選択すると、MIDIキーボードが認識されます。（正しくMIDI機器が接続できていないと、警告メッセージが表示されます。）

これで、ピアノレッスンを楽しめるようになりました。
