~Apple の旧型15インチPowerBook G4のユーザです。
このカードは、Macでも使えます（私の使っている環境は、OS 10.2.5, AirMac 3.1です）。ただ、AirMacカードが入っていると使えません。

あなたのPowerBookが旧式で旧AirMacカードが入っている場合、まずキーボードを裏返してAirMacカードを取り出してしまいましょう。そしてこれを買ってカードスロットに入れてしまいましょう。それでもAirMacベースステーションのすべての設定はAirMac管理ユーティリティーで行えます。今までと何も変わりません。
しかも、これだけでとても大きなメリットがあります。

１）ベースステーションがAirMac Extreme対応なら、数倍の速さになります。
２）アンテナが本体の外に出るので、今までよりも接続範囲が広くなります。

このメリットを考えれば、この値段は決して高くありません。あなたのネットの利用頻度が高ければ、本当に快適に感じるはずです。また、自宅でWindowsのノートパソコンも持ち合わせていたなら、差し替えながら使えば両方無線LANが楽しめます。どうです。一度考えてみては。~

最初、パソコンに内蔵された他社の無線LANカードと同時に購入したBUFFALO WBR2-G54とを無線接続するのに苦労したが、このたび同じBUFFALOの無線LANカードWLI-CB-G54を装着してつないだら、AOSSボタンで一発で接続できた。え？これで終わり？というあっけなさだった。また、セキュリティも自動的に強力なAESとなり、安心。あまりのあっけなさにこれでいいのかと思うくらいだった。また、２階と１階との間でも電波はかなり強くまったく心配なし。無線LANを考えている人はぜひとも買いです。
