Allman Brothers Bandが結成時のツインドラム、ツインギターの構成で9年振りのスタジオ録音盤を完成させた。デッキーベッツが脱退(fired!)したため、バンドの35年の歴史上初めて彼がいない形でのスタジオ録音盤となったが、ウォーレンハインズの復帰とブッチトラックスの甥、デレクトラックスを迎えてツインスライド(!)となり、オールマン初期を彷佛とさせるブルージーなフィーリングに溢れている。この二人の加入でバンド全体に若さと勢いが感じられ、また、なんといってもグレッグのボーカルが驚くほど若々しく艶っぽい。このアルバムを聞くのにallmanの歴史を知っている必要は全くない。それほど新鮮に聞くことができるすばらしいアルバムだ。

結論から言うと、これは間違いなく名盤だと思います。私のGreggのイメージは、シェールとベタベタの声のハリもなく生気の無いコンサートを見て以来、最悪のものでしたが、WarrenHaynesが入って再結成してからは見事に復活してくれました。このアルバムは、DickyBettsが抜けてギターがWarrenと若いDerekTrucksの組み合わせによるツインリードですが、どちらも文句なしの良さで、それぞれ個性のあるスライドギターを聞かせてくれます。Ｒ．ストーンズのHeartOfStoneのカバーや、Gov'tMuleのRockin'Horse他ほとんどの曲にWarrenHaynesの名があり、プロデュースまでやってしまっている恐るべき才能です。Greggの歌も力強く、時に哀愁を帯びた聞かせる歌もあり、’グレッグ生き返ったね！’と思わずにいられない絶対手にいれるべき一枚です。

新加入のＤ.トラックスとＷ.ヘインズ復帰はさて置き、なんと言ってもグレッグの素晴らしさに尽きます。こんなに充実しているグレッグなんてひょっとして兄死後初めてなんでは？他のオールマンズファンはどうかワカラナイけど私にとってグレッグが歌い続けてるかぎりオールマンズは不滅です。･･･陳腐な言い方だけど。だからいつかの来日時、グレッグがボロボロになっててもディッキーをフロントに立ててグレッグ抜きで公演を敢行した！！なんて事実を知った時はとっても哀しかった。だからディッキーという呪縛から離れたグレッグはこんなに生き生きしてるんだろうね。そうは言っても私自身はギタリスト「Ｄ.ベッツ」がやはり今でも大好きで、若きスライドマスター「デレク」には申し訳ないんだけど歴代オールマンズのギターコンビとしてはディッキー＆ウォーレン組が一番好みなんですよ。でも本作は曲、声（Ｖｏ）、ギタープレイどれも粒揃いでオールマンズを知らない人にも十分アピールできる内容になっててグレイトです。無用に長い曲もないしね。
