   タイトルを見て、なんのこっちゃと思われるかもしれないけれど、要するにセゾンカード“fourbeat”とのタイアップによるコンピレーション盤。ケニー・ドーハム、ハンク・モブレイ、ドナルド・バードといったブルーノートの常連をはじめ、寺井尚子・小林桂・PE'Zといった日本勢、さらにはソウライヴ、メデスキ・マーティン＆ウッド、カール・デンソン、Us3などのクラブ系まで、さまざまな種類の歌と演奏14曲がパックになっている。すべてジャズには違いないものの、一発録りもあればテクノロジーを活用したリミックス物もあって、年代もスタイルもバラバラ、まさにゴッタ煮状態だ。えー、なに、これ、頭が混乱しそうという人がいてもおかしくないし、一方では、この無秩序状態がおもしろいと感じる人もいるはず。たぶん年配の人は前者、若い世代は後者のような反応を示すはずだ。オーソドックスなジャズは4ビートが基本だけど、ここに入っている演奏は、ほんの一部だけが4ビート。ジャズの多様性をあらめて実感させられるコンピレーション盤だ。（市川正二）

そして、新人さんからベテランまで、日本から海外まで、ボーカルからバイオリンまで。
ジャズという幅広い音楽のジャンルを有効に使い、その魅力とうまみを上手にブレンドした１枚となっています。

日本のジャズはねぇ~と敬遠されているあなた、クラブ系ジャズはねぇ~と見下してるあなた、これを聞いて音楽そしてジャズの幅を広げてみてください。
