サムシングエルスの音楽はメロディがどれもきれいです。通勤通学の途中に聞いて欲しい「to　the　city」盤と家路につくときに聞いて欲しい「to　nature」盤の2枚になってます。じわじわと心に響く名曲揃い。CD-EXTRAでライブ映像やPVも見られて、お買い得！

サブアーバンをテーマにした通勤・通学向けの編集が面白い。というのは、それはそれとして、頷けるのですが、
昔からのファンの方達からの要望には、応えられていない選曲な気がします。
自分も、勿論聞いていて、いいとは思いますが、この選曲は無かったんじゃないかという意味でも、1点引かせて頂きました。

久しぶりに聴いてみて、改めてサムエルの音楽が大好きだと感じました。
大久保さんの温かい声、キレイなコーラス、ギターを前面に出したカッコイイ編曲、サムエルが作り出すもの全てが、いつも心を癒してくれます。

「通勤・通学に聞きたくなる曲」というのがコンセプトなので、代表曲というより、優しい気持ちになる曲が多いです。
そのため、『びいだま』『磁石』などのハードな曲が挿入されていないのが、ちょっと悲しいです。
だから、星マイナス１で、星４つです。

でも、『ラストチャンス』『さよならじゃない』など、２０代から３０代の方なら一度は耳にしたことがあるサムエルの代表曲もしっかり入っていて、サムエルのシングル・アルバムを持っていない方にも、おススメな作品になっています。

解散してしまって本当に残念ですが、サムエルの曲は一生聴き続ける価値があります。
この作品で、若かった頃を思い出しませんか？
