   傷害致死罪による3年の刑を終えて出所してきた三上純一（反町隆史）は、刑務官・南郷正二（山崎努）に誘われて、10年前に起きた殺人事件で死刑判決を受けた樹原（宮藤官九郎）の冤罪を証明すべく、事件の起きた千葉の町へ調査に赴くことに…。
   高野和明のミステリ小説を『ココニイルコト』、『ソウル』の長澤雅彦が監督したエンタテインメント作品。事件の真相もさることながら、死刑執行のノウハウを詳細に追うあたりは興味深い。つじつま合わせに作り手が必死になっているといった、ゆとりのなさが感じられるのはマイナスだが、むしろラブストーリーの短いシークエンスに、この監督の本領を改めて見せつけられたような気もする。静の演技に初挑戦の反町の面構えがどんどん映画的になり、名優・山崎と拮抗していくのは良い。（的田也寸志）

さすがにフジテレビだけあって、Ｂ級サスペンスドラマとして観る上では、まあまあの出来、と云ったところか...
原作の重厚なテーマも緻密なストーリー展開も無視して、単に、２時間と云う与えられた時間枠の中で、俳優達が駆け回っているだけ。
これでは、原作者の高野氏にも申し訳ないし、何と云っても｢江戸川乱歩賞なんてこんなものか！」と云う誤解を与えてしまいかねないのが許せない。
折角、山崎努、反町隆史、井川比佐志、大杉漣と云った個性派名優を揃えておきながら、それぞれの個性が全く発揮されていないのも残念。
できれば、高野氏自身の脚本で、リメイクしてもらいたい。

これは原作とはまったくの別物だね。タイトル詐欺だよ。

デビルマンみたいなもん。……そこまで酷くはないか。

全体的に映画の作りが軽薄。テーマ性やメッセージ性に乏しく、観る者の心にズシリと響くものがない。
反町は頑張っているけど、まだまだトレンディードラマのアイドルタレントといった感が抜けてない。

いかにも駄目な邦画的な作品。

山崎努がでるのだから大丈夫とおもって観る。山崎努は日本において魅力ある役者。なぜ、かれはこんな映画にでたのか。日本の映画界のレベルの低さを象徴しているようである。ストーリーは複雑すぎる。作り話すぎる。骨格がもっとしっかりした映画に山崎努は出てほしい。今の、日本映画としてはやむを得ないのか。年寄りとしては山崎努はでないでほしかった。いい作品を選んでください。若い頃からのファンとしての感想。安売りしないで。山崎努様。
