L'Arc-en-Cielのドラマーyukihiroによるソロユニット作品。
一作目「acid android」に続き、よりハードなノイズが気持ちいいアルバム。
前アルバムに収録の「amniotic」に、イギリスのデジタルゴシックバンドCURVEのボーカル、toni hallidayが参加して生まれ変わった「faults」は、toniの声とギターの重いリフが闇と光のように絡む。

無機質なように見えるけど奥深くにある激情の色がチラリ、な作品。

前作のアルバム、acid　androidより、曲全体がまとまったように思います。音の切れも良くなった感じで、飽きずに何度も聞けます。
なんと言ってもギター音がとてもかっこいい☆何種類かのギター音が重なって、何とも言えないかっこよさが出ています。

最期に入っている、faultsは前作アルバムのamnioticのアレンジ（？）バージョンでヴォーカルをtoni　hallidayという外国のアーティストが歌っています。そこにyukihiroのコーラスが絡むととてもいい感じで、ずっと聴いていたくなります。

　acid androidはL'Arcを聴き始めたのをきっかけに知ったのだが、全くの別物。普通にJ-POPやオリコンの上位に入るような音楽しか聴いてこなかった人にとっては、聴いた事のないような音で溢れている。
　音楽を“歌”ではなく純粋な“音”として聴く感覚は非常に新鮮。純粋にカッコイイ。これはミニアルバムだが曲のバリエーションが豊富なので、入門にはうってつけ。

　最後のトラック「faults」は特に名曲。必聴です。
