5.0 out of 5 stars 「素晴らしい世界」を抜けた世界, 2003/5/10
作品を重ねるごとに、吉野寿の書く歌詞の表す世界は確実により大きく、より鮮明になっている。
そしてそれに触発されるように、演奏により表現される世界もまたどんどん大きくなっている。
こう言うとひどく陳腐に聞こえてしまうが、やっぱりこのバンド、特に吉野は表現の中心に
「希望」を持ってくる人なんだなあと、このアルバムを聞いて素直に感じた。

もちろんただ前向きであるのではなく、
「薄紫の感傷が降り積もる
薄紫の現実が降り積もる」
と歌う曲もあれば、
ただ無機質に流れる時間に何か観念的なものを感じてしまう恐怖を歌う曲もある。
しかしこのアルバムは「ドアを開ける俺」で終わる。タイトルそのままの、外へ飛び出していこうとする勇気がひしひしと伝わってくる曲だ。<P!>しっかり表現の中に「翳り」を落とすから、より中心の「明り」が際立つ。
聞き終えた後に、大きな爽快感が心に残る。
やっぱり吉野とバンドのもっとも伝えたいことは、この爽快感なんだろうとこれを聞いて思った。

数回聴けば、前作よりはるかに気持ちの良いドライブ感あり。
詩の出来は、このバンドでは頂点。

東京快晴摂氏零度を聞いて、もう一度人生をリセットできれば言うことはない。
こんなことをいいながら瞬間が過ぎてゆく。

あまりに凄くてまず言葉を失う。音的には決して守りに入らぬ姿勢で新たな試みも随所にみられるがイースタンサウンドとしてきっちり収まっている。真骨頂のライブを未体験な方、eastern youthって誰？という方にも入門版として是非聴いてもらいたいです。
