前作とは別物です。難しい謎解きもなく，恐竜を倒したことで得ることができる「クレジット」で，武器や回復アイテム，アーマーなどを購入することができます。とにかく，ひたすら恐竜を倒します。途中，仲間の救出や，船のパーツの回収等，イベントもありますが，難しくはありません（＾＾）また，船の機関銃や，戦車，ジープに乗っての恐竜との戦闘もあり，面白いです。ですが，アクションが得意な方でも，まずノーマルで一度クリアしてから，ハードをプレイすることをお勧めします。ハードでは，下手をすれば一撃で恐竜に殺されてしまうこともありますので（＾＾；）ちなみに私のディランでのお勧め装備は，メインに対戦車ライフルかソリッドキャノン，サブにチェーンマイン，レジーナではメインにヘビーライフル，サブに同じくチェーンマインです。ノーマルで１回，ハードモードで５回クリアしましたが，全く飽きません。途中で入るＣＧデモも良いできです。クリア後のミニゲームも面白いです。ぜひ，まだプレイしていない人には，お勧めの作品です。

ラプトル、アロサウルス、トリケラトプス、オヴィラプトル、Ｔ-ＲＥＸといった恐竜たちに立ち向かいながらミッションをクリアしていくアクションゲーム。
前作のようなテンポの悪さがなく、ストレスを溜めずに進める爽快なゲームで、エンディングまでの長さも難易度も絶妙で、しかもやり込みにもじゅうぶん耐え得る名作だ。

シリーズ中もっとも恐竜の挙動がリアル。ゲームの敵キャラ、って印象ではなく、ほんとにその世界で生態系を形成してるような生命感が如実に感じられる。
そこかしこに挟まれるムービーも迫力満点、ＰＳとしては臨界点だろう。
ハリウッド映画のようなスタイリッシュなエンディングも秀逸。

ホラーからアクションへとジャンルをかえたDINO2。
基本的な操作は前作を踏襲しているが、アクション向けに様々な変更も加えられている。
