5.0 out of 5 stars 不協和音の魅力にとりつかれ, 2005/2/26
「ブルガリアの女性合唱団の歌声が素晴らしい」、それを初めて耳にしたのは８８年頃だろうか。ベルリンの壁が壊れる前。
共産圏の国の音楽であるゆえの秘密性、神秘性。
ところがこの女性合唱団は、一般レベルでは全く知られていないが、知っている人はとっくに聴いていた。
テレビコマーシャルでけっこう使われていた。

初めてＣＤを再生したとき、頭をガツンと強く殴られたような衝撃を受けた。
なんにも似ていない、生まれて初めて聞く、「不協和音」という女性合唱だったのである。
学校教育で、ベルカント唱法しか習ってこなかった耳には、新鮮を通り越して衝撃であった。
文部省唱歌も、オペラの完成美もぶっとびである。
歌っているのは、正規の音楽教育を受けた歌手ではないらしい。
見た目は、ブルガリアのその辺にいそうなおばちゃんたちである。
大地の歌、女のうたなのである。
女たちが仕事をしながら歌い伝えてきたような感じだ。
民族の歌、易しくいえば民謡であるため、歌詞の内容は（丁寧に訳詞付き。ブルガリア語読めないよ）「村の娘に恋をした」とか、「トルコに立ち向かう英雄」といったもの。
そうか、この国は、何百年もオスマントルコ支配下にあったため、対トルコ、の歌がとても多いのだ、と当時中学生の私はいたく感じ入った次第。

衝撃の女性合唱は、方々にも衝撃を与えたとみえ、同時期にリリースされたケイト・ブッシュのアルバムに「ザ・トリオ・ブルガルカ」が参加し、メジャー作品で歌声を披露。
デッド・カン・ダンスのリサ・ジェラードは、その唱法をもろに、不協和音にチェンジ。
私もまた、彼女らの音楽に興味の世界を広げた。　

夜中にこのＣＤを聴いていると、母や妹に「お経が聞こえる」とよく言われたのも懐かしい思い出だ。

ブルガリア民族音楽の特徴は女声が主体のコーラスにあると思います。
このＣＤを聴いて、あらためて民族音楽の素晴らしさを感じました。
興味のある方はぜひ聴いてみてください。
