東映は画質に気合を入れた場合と手を抜いた場合に差があり過ぎです。
ニュープリントコンポーネントマスター仕様にすると、旧マスターの使いまわしの本作よりキカイダーや初代仮面ライダーの画質が良くなってしまうんだから驚きです。

裏を返せば、宇宙刑事シリーズもちゃんとニュープリントマスターで出せば、こんなもやもやして不鮮明でおまけに傷だらけの低画質よりずっとコレクションし甲斐のあるアイテムになったのでは？

DVDで出してくれることに価値があると思う。
レスキューポリスシリーズのように、人気があっても未DVD化な作品もまだまだあるんだし。
画質に関しては少なくともビデオの頃よりはキレイだし、少し前にCSで放送されたのもそんなに変わらなかったと思いますが。
いずれにしても、作品に罪はありません。
