   1979年に放送開始され、そのハードなストーリーでロボットアニメの歴史を塗り替えた「機動戦士ガンダム」。以後断続的に製作されているシリーズの、2002年放送のTVアニメ。これまで「宇宙世紀」を舞台にしたものには「機動戦士」、異なる世界観のものには別の名称を用いていたが、本作は「宇宙世紀」以外を舞台としつつも「機動戦士」と名付けられた初めての作品。
   時代はコズミック・イラ70、コーディネイターと呼ばれる新人類の存在が社会的に認められて数十年後。宇宙空間を主な活動拠点とする彼らと、地球側の人々との間に戦争が勃発、その1年後から物語は始まる。コーディネイターでありながら彼らと親友を敵に回してしまった少年キラの葛藤を軸に展開するプロローグ。第4話までを収録。（田中　元）

２１世紀最初のガンダムシリーズ。
第一作のガンダムからみてきたけど
今回のSEEDは現代の感覚を取り入れた作品のように感じた。
主人公のキラと親友のアスランが敵味方に分かれて
戦うことになるが、戦いを続けていくうちに民間人や親友の死ということが起きて
自分を見失ってしまったり、心が暴走してしまったりするんだけど
その感覚が今までの作品とは違って、現代的だと思った。
戦いが進むにつれて互いに戦う意味に迷いがでてきて葛藤するんですが
それをお嬢様なんだけど心の芯の強い歌姫のラクスが導いていって
キラとアスランは同じ目的を見出し共に戦うことになります。
初期の作品から比べると随分とグラフィックなどが変わっているので最初は戸惑ったけど
ストーリーや人物がとても良い作品です。
戦争を舞台にした人間ドラマというのは昔から同じですが
今回のガンダムは、よりドラマ的な作品という印象を受けました。

ガンダムオタクと言われる人たちには不評の様ですが、私はまだ20話ほどまでしか見ていませんがおもしろいです。腐女子でもないのでキャラで面白いとか言っているのではありません。アニメ向けのストーリーと言うより24やプリズンブレイクなどアメリカのドラマの様な展開が好みの方には合うかもしれないと言う感じです。

ぼくは、キラみたいに泣き虫で、争うことはきらいです。ぼくとよく似ているから、キラの気持ちがわかります。キラは大変だけど、とちゅうで逃げないから男らしいと思いました。
ラクスは平和のために、歌を歌っていましたが、お姫さまなのにわがままじゃないしやさしくていい人です。

とてもいいアニメでみてよかったです。
