個人的には、「亡き王女のためのパヴァーヌ」と「タンゴ・アン・スカイ」が気に入っている。
特に「タンゴ・アン・スカイ」の軽快なリズムは聴いていて心地よい。
ＣＤジャケットの中には、大萩さん自筆の文章もあり、音楽に対する熱い想いが伺える。
朴訥とした中にも繊細な感性を持ちえた、彼ならではの表現力が堪能できるＣＤです。

まだ若い青年であるこの演奏者がこれほどまでに聴く者を優しく包み込むのはどうしてなんだろう。繊細な音色を拾っていく度に、普段忘れてしまっている感性が呼覚まされ、それでいてじんわりと心を落ち着かせてくれる。このジャケット写真に漂うそこはかとない郷愁、曇り空特有の親密感、それらがぴたりと内容に沿ったものになっていて、内外違和感のない、裏切らないＣＤだと思った。じっくりと、何もせずにただただ聞き惚れたい、という時には特におすすめである。

　ディアンスの作品（編曲含む）が計６トラック。ドメニコーニの作品もある。おもにフランス、スペイン、イタリアの作曲家による作品集。

＃２【亡き王女のためのパヴァーヌ】、弾き手の感性（弾いたあとの消えていく音に魅力を感じる）とギターの特性を知りぬいたディアンスの編曲（まるでギターのオリジナルと思わせるほど）、技巧を要する内容だが本当にすばらしい。

＃１８【タンゴ・アン・スカイ】、今まで聞いた中で　最も粋な演奏。
聞き所は、ヴィラ＝ロボス賛歌（＃４~７）。今年リリースで明らかになったディアンスのジャンルを超えた音世界が堪能できる。＜ブローウェルの【黒いデカメロン】【鐘の鳴るキューバの風景】あたりに近い作風だろう＞

大萩氏の演奏は、かつてのギタリストたちの（ポロローンと）甘ったるい音色とは異なるクールなサウンド。８０年代の福田進一氏が与えたギター界の影響は　改めて大きいと思った。クラシック・ギターはまだ進化している、その真ん中にこのギタリストがいる。
