わたしがYMOを初めて聞かせてもらって感動したのはライディーンでもテクノポリスでもなくキャスタリアでした。
テクノドンライブにてキャスタリアをやった時は躍り上がるほど嬉しかったものです。
アブソリュートエゴダンス、超有名曲二曲に挟まれたかわいそうな曲、改めて音の一つ一つを拾い集めるように聞いてみてください、新しい発見があると思います。

今でこそ沖縄の音楽は一つのジャンルになるほどにメジャーになりましたけど、この当時（79年）こんな軽妙かつ洒落たセンスの光る曲はなかったと断言できます。
細野さんは、常に時代を20年は先に走ってらっしゃいますよねｗ

自分のお金でで初めて買ったＬＰがこれでした。
学園物テレビの挿入歌としてテクノポリスやアブソリュート・エゴ・ダンス等が使われていたの聞いて一発で気に入りました。

今や時代はＬＰ版からＣＤ版へ移り変わり、時代を感じさせるが音は今でも古臭くないと感じるのは私だけでは無いはず。
当時中学生の私がどれほど衝撃を受けたことか・・・

このアルバムの凄い所はどの曲も楽曲として優れているところだと思います。
ジャパンなどＹＭＯから影響を受けたバンドも多いはず。
ＹＭＯを聞くならこの一枚ははずせない一枚でしょう。

高橋ユキヒロ氏のヘニョヘニョのヴォーカル。英国ポップ風メロディ。切れ味バツグンにタイトなのにワイルドさもキッチリもっているドラミング。外人ぽい顔と紳士風だけどインチキ臭い物腰。
　YMOのテクノポップを最終的に「ロック」にしているのは高橋ユキヒロです。
