AORアレンジに生まれ変わることで雰囲気が洗練され、感動的で美しいメロディ達がより一層キラキラと光りを放っています。そして当にドラマの感動がその美しさで特化されフラッシュバックしますし、同時にこの頃の綺麗なドラマは最高のメロディメーカーにより物語が彩られていたのだと実感します。贔屓歌手の曲がこの中にあれば、アイテムに加える価値は大有りです。
作品は先ずカッコイイSAYYESに驚かされます。E♭の出だしとその後のピアノソロなど名曲SAYYESがSAYYESたる大事な骨格はそのままに、こうもアーバンでクリスタル感あるアレンジになるのかと。そして大事な飛鳥の安定感を再現しうるのはシカゴのジェイソン・シェフ！更にビル、ジョセフと名を連ね今作で最も豪華な実力者の登板です。“SAYYES”という最高にキマル瞬間をお聴き逃しなく。
2は女声独特の優しい音のタッチがこの曲の軽快な気持ちよさを引き出しています。3は冒頭のギターソロ等最もAORアレンジに向いており、またサビで加速する三連譜のコーラス後小田氏のような高音のソロパートの美しさは魅力です。
朗々とし包容力あるバリトン声で奏でられる4は今作でも指折りの聴き所。TRY-TONEのカバーでもそうでしたが、主旋律を男声の懐の大きさで優しく歌うとこんなにもこのメロディは甘美に鳴るんですねえ。
9のユニゾンによるコーラスアレンジは新鮮味を与えています。11はスプリングスティーンそっくりのハスキー声です。12のチャカ・カーンの娘ミリーニのかわいい歌声や14のＲ＆Ｂのメロウな歌声にもご注目を。

頭の中にある時、ふと、曲が浮かび、それからはしばらくその曲が頭から離れない、、、。
そんな経験ってきっと誰にでもありますよね？

それが、すきな曲ならいいんですが、「なぜ？なぜ？私はこの曲を、繰り返し繰り返し口ずさむんじゃろか？」
と疑問に思うような曲の時もしばしば。TV CM の曲や、むか〜し歌った童謡などなど、、。悲しいかな、仏教系の高校に通っていた私には「仏は常に」や「報恩講の歌」なども、、。いや、話が逸れました、、。

私はチャゲ＆飛鳥は好きじゃないんですが（ファンの人すみません）この１「Say Yes」も「YAH YAH YAH」も、ふと頭に浮かんでは、つい口ずさんでしまう曲だったのです。
それを、だいすきなシカゴのメンバーであるジェイソン・シェフが歌う！
その上にバックに同じくシカゴのビル・チャンプリン、もとTOTOのジョセフ・ウイリアムス！豪華でござる！

８曲目のビル・チャンプリンなんて、まるで自分の曲みたいに歌ってる！この声たまらん！

さて、そんな私にとってはこの２曲でこの値段の価値がありました。
次にこれらの曲を口ずさむ時には、英語ですぞ、、、ふぉーほっほっほっ！

おまけで（失礼な！）４曲目のウォーレン・ウィービーは、その昔デビット・フォスターのコンサートで来日していましたが、素敵な声の持ち主。もうお亡くなりになってしまったので、これは貴重かと。９曲目のウォンダ・シェパードは「アリーマイラブ」ってドラマの中でバーで歌ってたあの人？う〜む、「負けないで」歌わすとは、ねらってる？（何を？）で、この価格の価値は充分にあり。

私には、買って損なものではありませんでした。
が、それぞれの曲の元のアーティストに思い入れがあると、どうなんでしょうか？

歌うアーティストの方に、より強い思い入れがある方にお薦めいたします。
