   士郎正宗原作のマンガ作品「攻殻機動隊」を原作に、1995年の劇場用作品に続いての、2002年放送開始のTVアニメ版。
   西暦2030年、情報ネットワーク化が加速度的に進み、犯罪は複雑化の一途をたどっている時代。多発する電脳犯罪や、そこから生じるさまざまな事件に対処するために設立された、内務省直属の独立部隊、公安9課、通称攻殻機動隊の活躍を描く。
   押井守監督による映画版は機動隊リーダー草薙素子の、一部を除いてほとんど義体化した自身のアイデンティティを問う物語だったが、基本的に1話完結スタイルをとる本作では公安9課による事件解決をメインとする、いわゆる刑事ドラマ的作りとなっている。（田中　元）

3.0 out of 5 stars バランスのとれた作品じゃないでしょうか, 2003/1/25
　押井守監督による攻殻機動隊で登場人物の無機質な表現に納得できなかった自分として、このシリーズで描かれているキャラクターの人間臭さは大歓迎だ。
　さらに刑事物というスタイルをとっているので、攻殻機動隊は公安であるという本来あるべき描写の徹底ぶりに好感が持てる。

　ただ、残念な点もある。事件の膨大な背景を伝える手段に説明的なダイアログを多用していることだ。そのため、かえって世界観が薄っぺらく見えてしまい、情報量の圧倒感にとぼしく、肝心のスピード感さえも失われているように思える。しかし完成度そのものは決して低くないので、ここは好みの問題ということになるのだろう。

　純粋にエンターテイメントとしても楽しめるので、攻殻に触れたことのない人にはお勧め。劇場版は攻殻ではないという人、原作しか読んでいないという人にもお勧め。
　個人的には星４ツつけたいところだが、２話でこの価格だけの価値があるとは言い切れないので星３ツ。

このアニメ版シリーズを通してのテーマとなる「笑い男」事件が4話から始まるが、人形遣いに劣らない面白さを突き通してくれる。シナリオも十分に作られているが、それに付随する音楽が素晴らしい。確かに原作と比較すると分かりやすすぎる面もあるが、分かりやすくしようという手法も見てもらいたい。

１巻の１話、２話は監督いわく紹介テイストだったので絵は綺麗だけどシナリオには惹かれなかったのですが、面白くなってくるのは２巻から！！４話のトグサがトリック？を見破るシーンや笑い男登場など、
すごく良かったです。３話もありきたり感を終盤で払拭してあってお見事。（アンドロイドの６０年代風ファッションもイイですね）

アニメっていままでお子様~若向けの物しかめぐり合えなかったので衝撃も受けました。絵柄からして違いますけど。
アニメファンには何をいまさらと思われるかもですが世間一般のアニメのイメージってそんなものなんですよ。もっと一般の人の目に触れる事があればいいのですが・・・でもアニメDVDは高すぎ！！
