   ナズとジェイZを比べる必要があるだろうか？ おそらく必要ない。けれども、このニューヨークで最高のMCのトラックを聴くと、リスナーは比べられずにいられなくなる。本作はジェイZのより洗練された『Blueprint 2』と真正面から張りあっても返り討ちにあうだけかもしれないが、ナズ自身の仕事は決して悪いものではない。実際、素晴らしく印象的なトラックがそろっている。「Made You Look」や「Last Real Nigga Alive」（「どうしてジガはひどい奴なのか」と語るナズの定番）はストリート志向の白熱したトラックだし、アルケミストがプロデュースした「Book of Rhymes」はファン待望のウィットに富みながらも内省的なリズムをもったトラックのお手本だ。だが、曲数を詰めこみすぎたことと、とっくの昔に亡くなった2パックとのまた新たな共演など、余計なゲストが多すぎたことが、本作のマイナス点になっているという印象は逃れられない。それに、限定盤特典のディスク2の女嫌いの退屈なナンバー「P***y Kills」はなくてもよかったはずだ。サラーム・レミによるビートを取り入れた「Zone Out」もその共演者より、いかしたライムの方が価値がある。そういった短所はあるものの、本作のほとんどのトラックではナズのフロウはしっかりと的を押さえている。（Rebecca Levine, Amazon.com）

1stアルバムの衝撃から8年、ここにNasはまた傑作を叩き出した。彼のフロウに関してはもはや何も言うことはないが、そんな彼のフロウが最も冴え渡る形でのトラックが所狭しと詰まっているアルバムである。先行シングル(3)からして話題騒然であったが、そんなシングルに引けを取らないトラックが数多くあるのは頼もしい限り。Eminemプロデュース(2)も、予想以上にNasとの相性はいい。ビートがまんまEminemなのは愛嬌としてトラックは非常にヘヴィでクール。(6)の硬質なループ・トラックにのせて地に足の着いたフロウを聞かせるNasはやっぱり否応なしにかっちょいいし、ベートーベンをサンプリングした大ヒット中の2ndシングル(7)も、あくまでもストリートの範疇でこの曲をサンプリングしたまでで、単純にトラックがクール!で言うことなし。Alicia Keysをフューチャリングし彼女自身がプロデュースした驚きの(11)も、NasとAliciaの相性のよさを示した好例だし、総じてアルバムの密度は高い。アルバムの大半を任せたSalaam Remiとの組み合わせも成功している。やっぱり彼はストリートに根付いた音作りをしているのが一番だね。1stまでとは言わないが、かなりレベルの高い1枚であることは間違いない。渋いっす。
そしてBonus Discには3曲の新曲が収録。(1)ではNasのフリースタイルが収められていて、ファンならずとも注目。彼のスキルの高さが感じられるトラックなのでは？フロウのレベルの高さを実感できる。続く(2)(3)は、ビートが硬質でダークなトラック。ストリートを意識したような作りで、単純にビートがかっちょいい。更にNasのインタビューやMade You Lookのビデオクリップまでをも収録しており、かなりお得です。

前作の「Stillmatic」が、衝撃的だったせいか今作の、「God's Son」は、それほどの衝撃は無いけどNasのスキルの高さは、感じられる作品だね。お勧めの曲は、「Made You Look」「I Can」「Hey Nas」位かな。

俺の中では最高傑作☆☆ILLMATIC以外は求めないリスナーはどうかと思うわ(-д-+)人それぞれやと思うけどILLMATICしか認めんやつはどうかと思う。
MADE YOU LOOK、LAST REAL NIGGA ALIVE、WARRIOR SONGが個人的にナズのリリックスとトラックが最高☆☆いい加減ILLMATICが最高だというお決まりのセリフ吐くのはやめたら??
本当のヒップホップが聴きたいやつはナズを聴け!!HIP HOP IS DEADも合わせて聴きやがれ!!
