カスタネッツ。吟遊詩人、牧野元率いるロックバンド。
好きな人はずっと好きでいるバンドだろう。
私もその一人。
このアルバムは今までで、一番好きなアルバムです。
沢山の人に聴いてもらいたいです。
なのに、メジャーではなくインディーでこれからは活動。
レミオロメンやスキマスイッチなどやさしいポップロックの先駆け的存在であるカスタネッツ。
表舞台に出てきて欲しいと切に願います。
運が悪いとしか言い様が無い。
こんなに素晴らしい曲が入っているのに・・・。
そうこうしているうちに時代が移り変わってしまった。
カスタネッツは間違いなく「今」が絶頂の時。
この後、「サンシャイン」といシングルを出しました。
その曲は最高傑作といってもいいほどの仕上がり。
カスタネッツの魅力は、牧野元の渋くも暖かい声と文学的な詞。
そしてギタリスト小宮山の綺麗なギターフレーズと切なくやさしいメロディだ。
本当にお勧めですので、このアルバムと「サンシャイン」を聴いてみてください。

3曲目の｢似たもの同士」。
心の中のある種のはざまに差しこんでくる詞と、元ちゃんの声。
これらにやられて19のときから聴いているようなものです。
元ちゃんの変わらない部分を感じると、少し安心したり。
やっぱ良いですね。

最近インディーズでリリースされたライブアルバム(bootleg2)を聞き、あまりの気合の入り具合に再びノックアウトされました。カスタネッツは今、最高に成熟していると思います。このアルバムはメジャーラストアルバムですが、1曲1曲に魂が込められており、聞き込めば聞き込むほどに味が出るスルメのようなアルバムだと思います。一人でも多くカスタネッツの音楽に触れてもらいたいと思います。
