エリーク・ショルビャルグ氏の監督デビュー作。しょっぱなから、キカッと光るラストシーンまで、全体を通して走る緊迫感とキレの鋭さが、いかにも処女作品にのみ見られるあの独特のみずみずしさと生々しさに満ちていて見応えがある。

アメリカではハリウッドのリメイクをジョークか嘘ものと評する人が圧倒的だと聞きましたが、私はそちらを見ていないので何とも言えない（それで投稿するのもなんだが・・・）。
見てない理由は、（芸術品作成の目的でない）便乗売り上げ目当てだけのハリウッドのリメイクものは見る時間なしと決めているので・・・。でも名だたる俳優を並べているので演技力を比較するのは面白いかもしれない。

この映画で、ステランはお気に入りの俳優になった。とてもいい。実にいい。

最近では、日本の「リング」をリメイクしたUSA版「リング」があったが、かのアルパチーノが熱演した「インソムニア」のオリジナル版がこちら。是非、オリジナルと比べて下さい。アルパチーノはうまいですが、全体的な雰囲気はオリジナル版の方が良かった気がします。

まさに、睡眠障害で、薬でどうにか睡眠を取っているときにこの映画を見てしまいました。
なので、淡々と進む映画の途中、つい睡魔が・・・

ヤバイヤバい・・・

映画としてはそういう淡々とした中にも不気味な静けさと白夜がうまくマッチしています。
主人公のとった行動はよかったのかどうなのか・・・

良いか悪いかは観客にゆだねられます。
私はリメイクされた「インソムニア」は見ていないのですが、こういう北欧の映画も好きなので、これはこれで満足しました。
