日本語字幕がないのは、残念ですが、しかし
英語字幕があるのですよ。

まぁ、それほど難解なことをしゃべるわけではないので、
だいたいのことは理解できるとおもいます。

それにしても、ほかの年のラストナイトも
DVD化してくれないかなぁ~。1999年も、なかなか
よかったし、9.11の年のも、感動的だったしなぁ。

4.0 out of 5 stars イギリス的お祭り騒ぎ。, 2002/11/16
日本でも衛星放送で毎年中継のあるイギリスは、ロンドンで毎年夏に開催されるＢＢＣ（英国放送協会）がスポンサーとなっている通称”プロムス”の２０００年のラストナイトの模様を収録したもの。前半には、アメリカ人の若いヴァイオリニスト　ヒラリー　ハーンがモーツアルトのヴァイオリン協奏曲第４番を演奏し、喝采をあびるのだけどこの年のラストナイトの見所は、後半だと思う。
特に後半は、サー　エドワード　エルガーの威風堂々第１番は、もちろんイギリス人が盛り上がる自国の出身作曲家の曲を演奏するのがほとんどお決まりとなっているのだけど音楽にあわせて観客たちが持ってる旗を振ったり、笛をならしたりと楽しく見ることが出来る。

特にこの年をもってラストナイトの担当オーケストラの音楽監督サー　アンドルー　ディビスは、その席を降りたのだけどお別れのスピーチが
早口で観客を沸かせ、音楽監督を降りる彼の新しい出発を応援する観客の姿勢にも感動すると思う。
イギリス音楽が好きな人、ヒラリー・ハーンが好きな人にはおすすめ。

でも日本語字幕がないのでサー　アンドルー　ディビスのスピーチなど
に笑えないと思うから・・そこは、残念な所ですが
