   2002年にCSのキッズステーションで放送されたファンタスティックアニメーション。城壁に囲まれた、どこにでもあるようでいて、しかし猫やワニが普通に言葉を話してもいる、どこか変な街、金冠町。そこにある由緒正しい芸術学校、金冠学園でバレエを習っている女の子、あひる。憧れている先輩のみゅうとがいるが、いつも寂しそうな彼にはなかなか近づけない。だが、彼女は伝説のプリンセス・チュチュとして心をなくした王子様＝みゅうとを守る決意をする。
   バレエ、病める王子様、恋のライバル、人と同等に話をする動物たちなど、どこか懐かしい、メルヘンチックな世界観で展開する物語。チュチュは王子様とは決して結ばれない運命だと知らされながらも健気に頑張るあひるの姿が切ない。（田中 元）

凝ったストーリー展開、魅力的なキャラクター、美しく設定された背景、お話に合ったクラシック音楽、わくわくハラハラする盛り上がり、そして意外な結末。いずれも傑作アニメの要素を満たしている。実際、アニメウオッチャーの私から見ても、近年の日本製アニメで屈指の傑作だと思う。

ただ、世間の話題作にならなかったのが残念でならない。放送されたテレビ局が限られていたとか、慣れない人にはバレエの世界は取っつきにくいという不利な要素はあった。でも、今見ても、全く色あせていない。ぜひ、子ども・大人を問わず多くの人に見て欲しいアニメだ。

男性にはちょっと購入をためらうジャケットだが、アマゾンなら恥ずかしがらなくても大丈夫。

　一見、子ども向けか萌えアニメかと思ってて最初見るのに抵抗があったが、いっぺん見てみると、かなり面白くてはまったアニメ。

　簡単に説明すると、「主人公のどじな女の子が変身して、王子様を助ける」という、わりと王道な設定だったりするんだが、変身後の姿がバレリーナ。過去には花嫁姿に変身するアニメもあったから、得に斬新で訳でもないが、だいたい踊って解決してしまうというマヌケさも魅力。

　物語の大筋の謎も、簡単にわかりそうで、よくわかんないってかんじで、気を引かせてると思う。

　あと、脇役やその他大勢に、さりげなく（？）擬人化した動物を入れてあるのも、多少のあざとさは感じるけど、なかなか意表をつかれる配役で笑える。得に、ネコ先生はいい感じにキャラが立ってて、吉本新喜劇的な予定調和な笑いを振りまいてくれて安心して（？）みていられる。
　絵柄的に進めにくいけど、見てみたらつぼにはまる人はそれなりにいるはず。
