目的のない日常、ただ時間だけが過ぎていく無意味な生活、取りつくろうように話される会話も空虚さを埋めることはできない。何かを期待して訪れる先々でも、ただ虚しい時間が取り巻くだけ。この世は変なところだ。日常生活の空白を埋めようと試みる主役たちに自分をオーバーラップさせ、たまらなくいとおしいと感じてしまう映画。ストレンジャーザンパラダイス！！ジムジャームッシュは天才です！！！

この映画はハリウッド的映画とは真逆だと思う。
嫌いな人はとことん嫌いだろうし、好きな人はとことん好きな人に分かれると思う
でももしはまったら・・。
行き当たりばったりの旅はしないようにしましょうー

「ストレンジャー・ザン・パラダイス」は、僕のなかでいちばんシンプルな５つ星作品。ありそうでなさそうな、なさそうでありそうな、こういうお話を書くのは意外と骨が折れる作業だったろうな。観終わったあとそんなことを思った。
カットやカメラ割り、音楽も申し分ないが、主人公の男性二人のファッションがこの映画の魅力をものがたる。
気取らない、こだわらない、けれどもスマート。これぞ都会派。
