めんたんぴん・らしさが溢れているアルバムだと思います。ファーストより伸びやかな感じかな？
”日本のデッド”と呼ばれていた所以がなんとなく分かる好きなアルバムですね。
特に２曲目のツインドラム・ギターなど・・バンドとしての質の高さをさりげなく聴かせるあたりはデッドらしいですね。
（勿論、全曲で聴かせてくれてますが...(^^)　ギターもさりげなく・いかしてる！

はっぴいえんど・もいいんだろうけど、全くそういう連中とは異質であり
質の高さは数段上なのに気取りのない温かみを感じ、、
「”俺ら”を酒のつまみ代わりに聴いとくれ」っていうような
本当の意味のプライドを持っているなぁって思います。

ライヴ盤の復刻を願っています。

　当時、山下達郎率いるシュガーベイブともライブで競演していたバンド、めんたんぴん。そのせいか、山下達郎や大貫妙子の名前もスペシャルサンクスでクレジットされている。アルバムを締めくくる曲「山を越え谷を越え」にコーラスで参加しているらしい。

　さて、肝心のアルバムの内容であるが、ロックンロール、ブルースロック、カントリー、様々なアメリカンロックの要素を取り入れ、たいへん骨太なロックを聴かせてくれる。しかしながら、非常に日本人好みの音に仕上がっているのがおもしろい。
　また、はっぴいえんどを彷彿とさせるサウンドが聴かれるのも日本のロック好きにはたまらない。
